At Pork Barrel BBQ, our story is one of passion for great BBQ and community. We are a traditional counter service BBQ joint with a large neighborhood bar. Located in the absolute center of Del Ray, Pork Barrel is the heart of the neighborhood.

Opened in the Fall of 2011, by “Mango” Mike Anderson and partner Bill Blackburn, teaming up with Competition BBQ Experts and Shark Tank Alums Heath Hall and Brett Thompson. The goal from the beginning was simple, "great BBQ in a casual, comfortable family friendly environment." Our large flexible space has been the meeting spot for countless community celebrations, fundraisers, and after parties.

At Pork Barrel BBQ, we believe in upholding the time-honored traditions of barbecue while also embracing innovation to create an unforgettable experience. Our culinary team is dedicated to sourcing quality meats, hand-rubbing them with our signature Pork Barrel blend of spices, and slow-smoking daily in house with real oak and hickory wood. We pay homage to several regional barbecue styles while introducing our own inventive flair, resulting in dishes that celebrate both classic BBQ, American favorites and creative fusion.
